What’s new with you?

Hi there!

What have you been up to lately? Who are you becoming? Where do you want to go? What juicy new projects are you excited about?

Are you in transition? Moving from one thing to the next? Feeling like it is time for a change? Or maybe life is just changing all around you?

I’m currently in transition myself. I’m participating in a Certification program, to help me earn two professional coaching designations: a CPCC (Certified Professional Co-Active Coach) and ACC (Associate Certified Coach). I’m currently accepting new clients and I’m offering a FREE Sample Coaching Session for anyone who is interested.

Working with a coach is a great way to get support for yourself as you move through a transition phase. Coaching allows you to get clear on what you want and why its important. About who you want to be and what you want more of. And how to get there.

I am also working on building a community for creatives who are spiritual but not religious, called Creative Spirit U. Coaching and Creative Spirit U have become my primary two projects at the moment, and my artwork has taken a bit of a back seat for now.

I’d love to hear what’s new with you! Please leave me a comment and let me know what’s the latest and greatest in your world! ♥

Creative Spirit U Update!

Hello! On Monday, I told you that I’m attending coach training for the next year and a half. Today, I’d like to share about my other main project: Creative Spirit U.

Creative Spirit U (CSU)

Creative Spirit U is a new community that I am working to build behind-the-scenes to get the website properly set up. It will be a community for creative spirits who are spiritual but not religious. Who believe that art should be made from your heart and soul. Who want to be able to talk about art and creativity and the artist life and the spiritual stuff too. It will be a place for us to interact, make friends, and share work.

What do you mean by spiritual but not religious?

The community at Creative Spirit U believes that art-making is a spiritual process as well as a physical one. We believe in a Great Creator or Great Creatrix (or both) and that our creativity is a Divine Gift. So, in addition to discussing art and creativity, we would also like to discuss about spiritual topics and faith in general, but not the religious.

We will not be quoting Bible verses. But we will be discussing spiritual topics like angels, astrology, auras, chakras, dreams, faith, karma, meditation, numerology, prayer, psychic abilities, Reiki, reincarnation, self-hypnosis, spirit guides, Tarot cards and more.

Why are you building Creative Spirit U?

I got the idea to build Creative Spirit U because I’d like to hang out online with other people like me and make new friends! I am looking forward to connecting with other artistic creatives who like the spiritual stuff. To me, the spiritual is integrated in everything that I do, so it is hard for me to separate that out and be “politically correct.” And, I just don’t want to.

I want to be able to share how I was inspired to create a piece because of a Tarot spread. Or because I felt nudged to by my Angels. And I thought there might just be other people out there, like me, who would like to do the same.

And I also want to build Creative Spirit U as a place where we can all share, learn, and grow together as artists. I want it to be a place where we build each other up, encourage each other, and thrive!

Are you interested in Creative Spirit U?

If so, please sign up for the Creative Spirit U emails. I will email subscribers once or twice a month (here’s an example) to keep you informed of my progress and what’s happening. And you will be the FIRST to know when Creative Spirit U is ready to go!

Creative Spirit U Marketplace

I also ♥love♥ taking art classes – online and in person – especially those related in some way to the spiritual. Like an art journaling class with a theme about hopes and dreams. Or how to create mixed media angels. Or designing a keepsake astrology chart to display in your home.

The thing is, there are SO MANY wonderful bloggers and artists out there with really cool classes – but they are hard to find. So part of my vision for Creative Spirit U is to create a Marketplace, where you can list YOUR classes and workshops, and we can all find them in one place. Wouldn’t that be cool?

If YOU offer classes and workshops and are interested in becoming a CSU Marketplace advertiser, please click here and complete a short 9-question survey.

If you like to TAKE artsy classes online or in person, I’d love to hear what you think about this idea! Please leave me a comment on this post!

Still building!

All these goals – to be able to have community forum discussions, to share artwork, and to have a marketplace where we can all share our classes and workshops together, have driven my selection of the software and web site needs. I have put tons of effort into this project – literally years! – and I still have work to do. But I am getting SOOOOO close! ♥

I am currently working on getting all of the options properly set up. And building the marketplace piece. Once that is done, I will be ready to open it to the public. The best way to keep up-to-date with my progress and to be the first to know when it is ready is to sign up for the emails above.

I appreciate your comments!

I am starting to blog about this and do newsletters and share about this more publicly, because I want to include you. I love hearing from you, I love your messages of support and encouragement, and I love to hear your ideas, too!

Thanks for stopping by!
